The buds are golden and still have hair and the leaves are full. The dry aroma is sweet soil. As the leaves warm there is an aroma of peonies with honey and bee pollen lingering in the fairness cup. The wet leaf aroma is sticky rice and freshly harvested wheat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLao Man'E is known for being bitter and this shou puerh presents a clear bitterness from the first sip. This tea is MOIST! It fills the mouth. The aroma is decidedly floral and thick. The energy is unquestionable. The tea brews very clean and clear and coats the mouth. The bitterness persists through the steepings but a strong sweetness grows. The sweetness pairs with the bitterness like two dancers in harmony.
